Recolnat
Title Background
Governance

The national network of naturalist collections (Récolnat) is a research infrastructure (IR) piloted by the MNHN, with the administrative status of a scientific interest group (GIS). GIS Récolnat was thus founded and structured when its founding agreement was signed on June 10, 2020. Its governance is defined by the role of the following three committees: (i) the management committee, (ii) the executive committee and ( (iii) the scientific and technical committee.

management committee

Management committee

The management committee (CODIR) decides, validates and directs the infrastructure (entry of new Members and Partners, appointment of members of the CST, orientations, Work Plan, etc.). It is composed of a representative (+ alternate) of each Member and four representatives of the following bodies: AllEnvi, ministries in charge of Research, Ecology and Culture. This committee meets at least once a year.

executive committee

Executive committee

The executive committee (COMEX) proposes and carries out the work (ensures the smooth running of the Work Plan, proposes a list of CST members, etc.). It is composed of a representative of each Member or by a person with the same qualifications. It meets at least twice a year.

scientific and technical council

Scientific and technical council

The scientific and technical council (CST) directs and evaluates the work of the infrastructure. It is made up of a maximum of 25 national and international intuiti personae experts in the scientific and technical fields (computerization, imagery, conservation and management of collections, artificial intelligence, etc.) of interest to the infrastructure. It meets at least once a year.
